• A broad spectrum selective post emergence herbicide for turf that is highly effective in controlling broadleaf weeds
• A convenient water dispersible granular formulation with economical rates and in a convenient 1 kg container making it
easy to handle and mix
• Complete weed solution for turf in combination with MONUMENT Turf Herbicide & compliment super
• Quick systemic action (xylem) with root, shoot and leaf uptake
CASPER can be used on most warm and cool season turf species:
Refer to the registered label for full details.
DO not use on Buffalo Grass. Do not apply CASPER to turf that is not well established. Do not apply on golf putting greens. |

Bermuda, Kikuyu, Paspalum, Zoysia | Bent Grass, Fescue, Perennial Ryegrass |
CASPER delivers high levels of control with follow up applications only needed if significant seed germination
occurs after application.
Example: Convenient rate ranges (0.6 to 1.2 kg/ha) for different weeds ensures flexibility and economy.
Applications to control weeds should ideally be made when they are still actively growing and not towards the end
of the growing cycle when plants are alive but not actively growing.
Active weed growth = Systemic xylem and phloem movement essential for systemic herbicide action
CASPER as a post-emergent herbicide is taken up by leaves, shoots and roots of target weeds. Application targeted
towards delivering CASPER to thoroughly cover the leaves and shoots is best. Always apply with a non-ionic surfactant.
CASPER can be washed off the leaves and into the soil to promote root uptake for complete systemic action.
Add a non-ionic surfectant at 0,25-0,5% w/v ratio.
Apply in total volume of 400-800L/hg - using higher volume in heavy weed infestations or higher cut turf.

Application Advice
Tank mixing |
CASPER is a water dispersible granular formulation, which mixes easily with water, provided the following mixing procedures are observed: Use CASPER spray preparations within 24 hours as the effectiveness may be reduced due to product degradation. Thoroughly agitate before re-using. If CASPER is tank mixed with other herbicides, insecticides and fungicides, the CASPER must be well mixed and in suspension before the other compounds are added. |
---|---|
Tank mix preparation |
Quarter to half fill the spray tank with water. Commence agitation. Add the appropriate amount of surfactant. Add the required quantity of CASPER directly to the tank without prior creaming. Continue agitation while topping up the tank with water and while spraying. |
Mixing and spraying |
CASPER may be applied with any medium or high volume sprayer properly calibrated and which is equipped with an efficient agitation mechanism and which is capable of adequate coverage and even distribution. Best results are obtained using flat fan-type spray nozzles and applying a minimum spray volume of 200 - 400 l water/ha. There should be a follow up application 5-6 weeks later for best results. |
Water volume |
200 - 400 l water/ha. |
Rainfastness |
Rainfall occurring within 6 hours after a CASPER application may reduce weed control. |

Stewardship
Type | Title | Description |
---|---|---|
To preserve the environment | Resistance Management | For resistance management, CASPER belongs both to the group code B(2) and O herbicides. Any weed population may contain individuals naturally resistant to CASPER and other group code B(2) or group O herbicides. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the weed population if these herbicides are used repeatedly and exclusively in programs. These resistant weeds may not be controlled by CASPER or any other group code B(2) herbicides or group code O herbicides. |
